Time Well Spent

Every parent understands the value of spending personal time with their children. Yet in our demanding, fast-paced society, we often find ourselves looking back at missed opportunities. More than any other youth program available today, Scouting supports parent and child relationships in ways that result in memories of time well spent together.

The Scouting programs are uniquely designed to meet the needs of youth and their parents. Scouting meets these needs through offering fun and challenging experiences that kids and parents do together.

While every parent wants their son or daughter to have fun experiences in their childhood, fun alone is not enough. Children need safe environments and activities that promote strong values and character. These are the elements that families strive to provide that the Scouting programs support.

Kids grow up fast. Give your child a valuable gift by encouraging them to join Scouting today. The time you invest in them today will make a difference in the person they become tomorrow.

Scouting`s Not Just for Kids!

It`s easy for adults to become a part of Scouting. As a Scout Leader, you will have the opportunity to work with boys and their families, improving your community by enriching the lives of the families who live in it through fun-filled, worthwhile programs that teach values. By making the commitment to serve as a leader, you can help to enrich the lives of your boys, making a positive difference in the kind of men they will become and building a better future for our nation.

Thousands of volunteer leaders, both men and women, are involved in the Scouting movement by serving in a variety of jobs - unit leaders; to members of troop, district, and council committees; merit badge counselors; and chartered organization representatives. Every leader has the opportunity to participate in leadership and skills training, access to a vast library of helpful literature, and a support network of fellow leaders and full-time professionals in the Scouting organization.
