2016 Camp Card Sales

HOW THE CAMP CARD SALE WORKS:

  • The Camp Card is designed to help units fund their way to 2016 Camp programs
  • This is a low risk Unit Sales project where all Scouts can earn their way to Camp, Philmont, other activities or simply support unit program or supplies needs
  • Each Camp Card will sell for only $5.00 to the general public and will have multiple discounts for the customer to use throughout the year
  • The participating unit will keep 50% commission of the sales for each Camp Card or Council Calendar Ad sold!

  • Customers can Self-select the offers from website

    • Cards will have 2 high value tear off tabs
  • Commissions from the sales are encouraged to be applied toward directly sending youth to Summer Camp programs, but funds may be used as directed by the unit committee
  • In 2015, Camp Card sales generated almost $35,000 in unit commissions! 

The Value of selling Camp Cards:

Participating in the Camp Card allows each Scout to directly fund their way to various Camp programs

Cub Scout Day                                             $80                 = 32 Cards per Scout to sell

Fall Encampment                                       $60                 = 24 Cards per Scout to sell

Cub World                                                    $60                 = 24 Cards per Scout to sell

Webelos Camp                                           $100              = 40 Cards per Scout to sell

Boy Scout Summer Camp                        $250              = 100 Cards per Scout to sell

National High Adventure Bases              $1,500          = 600 Cards per Scout to sell

National Jamboree                                    $2,100          = 840 Cards per Scout to sell

Note—Program costs and sales per youth are not necessarily actual numbers; they are close approximations.  Also a unit has the option to determine the portion of commission to credit individual scouts selling. Use of unit proceeds from this sale will be determined by the unit committee.

February 27     Bayou District Kickoff @ 9:30 AM

March 3           Pelican District, FDL Traditional Unit Kickoff @ 7:00 PM

April 1              Deadline for Ad Sales and Artwork to be turned in for Council Calendar     

                       

April 30            Online contests/drawings end

 

May 15             Camp Card Sale Ends-Last day to sell

 

May 16             Units to begin turning in money and unsold Camp Cards

*Note—Units keep their commission and only pay the remainder

 

May 29             Last day for units to turn in money and unsold Camp Cards

  • June 1—Units invoiced for unsold/unreturned cards
  • Deadline for BINGO form submissions to SELACampCards@gmail.com

 

June 5               Grand Prize BINGO Drawing to be held
