DESCRIPTION:ILST training will be held during Thanksgiving Camp in the Saturday, November 21 afternoon slot.  Anyone signing up must not have signed up for another afternoon class that day. \n  \n  \n Introduction to Leadership Skills for Troops (ILST) \n  \n  \n Saturday, November 21, 2026 \n  \n  \n Camp V Bar  \n  \n  \n 1:00 p.m.-4:30 p.m. \n  \n  \n The purpose of the ILST course is to teach Scouts with leadership positions about their new roles and how to most effectively reach success in that role. It is intended to help Scouts in leadership positions within their troop understand their responsibilities and to equip them with organizational and leadership skills to fulfill those responsibilities. ILST is the first course in the series of leadership training offered to Scouts and is a replacement for Troop Leadership Training. Completion of ILST is a prerequisite for Scouts to participate in the more advanced leadership courses National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT) and the National Advanced Youth Leadership Experience (NAYLE). \n  \n  \n We are excited to be offering this to your youth so this year at Thanksgiving Camp to help scouts prepare for leadership positions in your troop and to get them ready for NYLT this winter camp! \n  \n  \n Cost: $5 per participant-if only coming up for the day (to cover lunch) \n  \n  \n Check-in: 11:30 a.m.  \n  \n  \n Lunch:  Noon \n  \n  \n Class:  1:00 p.m.-4:30 p.m. \n  \n  \n Check-out: approx 5:00 p.m. \n  \n  \n Uniform: Class A \n  \n  \n Scoutmaster’s approval required.  \n
