The Council Banquet has been postponed until after Schools reopen. Date is TBD. All currently registered attendees can keep their registration for the new date or request a refund at any time. 

 

 

Where: Crown Plaza Hotel, Kenner

The Southeast Louisiana Council, Boy Scouts of America will host its Council Recognition Banquet on Tuesday, March 24th at the Crown Plaza Hotel in Kenner at 7:00 p.m.

Deadline for nominating someone for awards is February 7, 2020.  Below are the nomination forms and an explanation about what each award represents.

Register before Wednesday, March 18th to avoid a $5 Late Registration Fee!

  • Silver Beaver-The Silver Beaver Award was introduced in 1931 and is a council-level distinguished service award of the Boy Scouts of America. Recipients of this award are registered Scouters who have made an impact on the lives of youth through service given at the council level.
  • Silver Pelican-Awarded since 1929, the Silver Pelican Award is presented annually by the Times Picayune by the Boy Scout who, in the opinion of the Southeast Louisiana Council, has contributed most to the advancement of Scouting (Boy Scouting and/or Cub Scouting) in the Southeast Louisiana Council
  • Young American <div id="content" style="font-family: Verdana, " arial="" black",="" "helvetica="" sans-serif;="" font-size:="" 14px;="" background-color:="" rgb(255,="" 255,="" 255);"="">

At this event we will recognize the following:

  • 2019 Class of Eagle Scouts (Eagle Scout tickets are free)
  • 2019 Class of Silver Beavers 
  • 2019 Silver Pelican

Sponsorships are available and can be purchased on this site.  We are hoping to have every award recipient sponsored this year! 

Important: If you are registering at any sponsor level, please check Sponsor Ticket when you get the first page of the registration process. This will take you to a forms page where you can select the level of sponsorship. Do NOT select Individual Adult ticket or you will be charged for a ticket plus your sponsorship.  Please select Sponsor ticket or Sponsor ticket not attending.

$35.00 per Individual Adult Ticket
$30.00 per Individual Child Ticket
Late fee
After 3/18/2020 a fee of $5.00 will apply to all Individual Adult Ticket Registrants.
After 3/18/2020 a fee of $5.00 will apply to all Individual Child Ticket Registrants.
Cancellation Policy
As ability to fill the slot with another participant. If the slot is not able to be filled, no refund will be available. No refunds of any fees are available until 30 days after the event. Refund checks will be issued to the individual or entity paying the original fee within 30 days of receipt of the request pending its approval. Fees are only transferable within the same unit to a Scout or adult leader not currently registered for that specific activity. If an activity is canceled or postponed due to weather, every effort will be made to reschedule the activity. If an activity is canceled and the participant cannot participate during the alternate date, the full fee will be refunded minus any service fees and costs incurred by the event prior to the cancellation. This amount may vary from event to event. Send all refund requests to the Program Director at: tracy.jones@scouting.org.
