2026 Bayou District Golden Eagle Fête Honoring

Jason W. Bergeron is a dedicated public servant and civic leader whose career is rooted in service to Terrebonne Parish. A 1993 graduate of South Terrebonne High School, he built a 20-plus-year career in business while directing his leadership toward community growth as Chair of the Houma-Terrebonne Chamber of Commerce and President of both the Rotary Club of Houma Sunrise and Bayou Region Crimestoppers. Recognized for spearheading grassroots relief efforts and hot meal distribution after Hurricane Ida, Jason was elected Parish President in 2023, where he focuses on strengthening regional infrastructure, improving quality of life, and expanding opportunities across the parish.

Jonathan "JT" Terrell is an athletic administrator, mentor, and civic advocate dedicated to empowering youth and strengthening the Bayou Region. A former Colonels quarterback and 1998 Nicholls State University graduate, Jonathan returned to his alma mater in 2020 as Athletic Director, making history as the university's first African American athletic director. Beyond elevating campus athletics, he pours his energy into community development, serving as Board President for Hi-5 Inc., an after-school program supporting at-risk youth and families in Thibodaux, and actively contributing through Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.

Kelly J. Rodrigue Kelly Rodrigue is a lifelong Scouter, public servant, and 4-time Nicholls State University graduate whose civic leadership in Louisiana spans decades. Serving as the University Registrar at Nicholls, he manages critical academic operations that support the student body. Kelly’s profound impact on local youth is especially noted at all levels of Scouting from “just dad” through Council Commissioner, receiving the Silver Crawfish and Silver Beaver Awards and being featured in the September 2009 edition of Scouting Magazine. In addition to his extensive involvement with local civic organizations like the Elks and Knights of Columbus, serving as Faculty Advisor for both the Mu-Zeta Chapter of Tau Kappa Epsilon and Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia’s Omicron Beta Chapter allows him to continue to champion regional growth and mentorship in young adults.

Organization Facts - The Southeast Louisiana Council, Scouting America will provide youth development and leadership programs to approximately 4,000 young people in 9 Parishes through Cub Scouts, Scouts BSA, Venturing, and Exploring programs during 2026.

Investments in this event will provide:
Direct service to Cub Scout Packs, Scouts BSA Troops, Venture Crews, and Explorer Posts – Unit Organization, Youth Recruitment, Volunteer Training, Service to Volunteers, Staff Assistance

• Program Services – Camping, Activities, Training, Insurance
• Support Services – Office Support, Equipment, Salmen Scout Reservation, Camp V-Bar
• Funds to help youth in need experience the wonderful opportunity Scouting provides.
