?? Important Announcement: New Annual Program Fee Begins August 1, 2025
Dear Scouting Families and Volunteers,
Beginning August 1, 2025, the Southeast Louisiana Council will implement a $60 annual program fee per Scouting family, which will also be collected at the time of registration for all new Scouts joining this Fall during our Fall recruitment efforts.
Total Cost Breakdown for New Scouts:
- National Registration Fee: $85
- SELA Council Program Fee: $60 per family
- Insurance Fee: $7 per Scout (covers supplemental accident and auto insurance)
To make the process easy and secure, all fees can be paid electronically by scanning the QR code provided on your recruitment materials.
Why This Change?
The local program fee allows us to cover critical costs such as:
- Rising liability insurance
- Program administration and support
- Youth protection enhancements and background checks
These investments help ensure a safe, high-quality Scouting experience for every youth.
