CAMP V-BAR DISC GOLF COURSE READY TO PLAY!

A group of volunteers led by Jeremy Batson, Ian Rands, and Tara Rosenkranz of Pack 117/Troop 117 and Tim Clements of Pack 100/Troop 100 installed the camp’s new, nine-hole disc golf course during Winter Camp.  While course signage still needs to be added, several groups already have played the course.  And, the Trading Post will be able to lend discs to anyone who wishes to check out this equipment.  The Council also has three mobile targets and discs at the Council Service Center in Metairie for those units wishing to use this equipment to start the Golf Merit Badge locally or for other activities.  Thanks to all the volunteers and donors who contributed to this effort including Jay Reading at the Educational Disc Golf Experience (EDGE)!
