The Southeast Louisiana Council offers several camping experiences for Scouts BSA members at Salmen Scout Reservation, also known as "Camp V-Bar", in Kiln, MS. The camp is 1400 acres with about 350 acres of that developed for Scouting activities. The major annual Scouts BSA camping activities at camp include Summer Camp, Winter Camp, and Shoot Swim Climb Weekend. 

Winter Camp is opportunity for Scouts BSA to come out and enjoy a week at Camp V-Bar. Winter camp takes place after Christmas and before New Years'. It's a great way for Scouts to earn Merit Badges. The Pathfinder Program is also offered for first-year Scouts. Winter Camp fills up fast, so make sure to get your spot as soon as registration goes live!
